Family and Community Involvement

Coordinated School Health is a collaboration of the community focusing on eight core components to improve our community's health, not just the absence of disease, but our overall emotional, psychological, and physical health.

The eight components are:
  • School Health Services
  • Health Education
  • Physcial Education
  • Nutrition Services
  • Family and Community Involvement
  • Healthy School Environment
  • School-Site Health Promotion
  • Counseling Psychological and Social Services

Our Coordinated School Health Program has many valuable partnerships including Americorps, Indiana University Health, Monroe County Board of Health, Monroe County Big Brothers/Big Sisters, The Active Living Coalition of Bloomington, Monroe County YMCA, Indiana Dairy Council, Indiana School Nutrition Association, and Indiana University. We have several council members active on our Coordinated School Health Council from many of these agencies.

THANK YOU to all of our community members donating time and resources in our efforts to improve our student's and community's health.

If you want to make a difference in our student's and community's health- join us today. Please contact Vickie Coffey by phone at 812-876-7805 or email
