On Tuesday, March 4, EHS French students celebrated Mardi Gras. Mrs. Tiller, leading by example, encouraged the students to dress in costume, wear beads and masks or wear the traditional Mardi Gras colors green, gold, and purple for the festivities. Students also prepared traditional Cajun dishes, as well as Mardi Gras King cakes, and other creative and unique cakes to share with their classmates. Some students even participated in learning a Mardi Gras dance to celebrate the occasion. Finding one more way to connect EHS students to world culture, Fat Tuesday has become an annual celebration at Edgewood.
