Message from the Superintendent

Exactly two months ago, I informed our RBB family that school would be closed for two weeks due to COVID-19.  At the time, we had no idea that two weeks of eLearning would turn into two months.

We may not know what is next in our journey but we do know that our RBB family and community have done an incredible job with eLearning over the last eight weeks that was matched by very few school corporations across the State of Indiana.  Congratulations!  A job well done!

As the 2019-2020 school year comes to an end with our last eLearning Day tomorrow, Friday, May 15th, it is time to celebrate and begin a much-deserved break.

RBBCSC is hoping and planning for a safe and normal start to the 2020-2021 school year on August 5th.  We will continue to work with the Monroe County Health Department.  We will share plenty of information with you as August approaches to assure you of the safety precautions that will be made available to students and staff.

Survey on Internet Connectivity

Thank you to the 622 families who participated in RBB’s Internet Connectivity Survey.  Your efforts will certainly help us to seek funding to extend and improve Internet connectivity in our community.

You still have time to complete the Internet Connectivity Survey.  The window will close on Friday, May 22nd

To complete the survey click on the following link:

eLearning Days Parent Feedback Survey

I know we are flooding you with surveys at the end of the school year.  Simply put, we greatly value and need your input.

As we conclude this extended eLearning period, we are looking to gather feedback from our families to help continue to make the eLearning process as positive and effective as possible.

To complete this survey, please click on the following link:

You may choose to complete one form per family or per child.

The window for this survey will close on Friday, May 22nd

If you have any questions, please add them below, or reach out to our technology coach, Meighan Scott at Thank you!

Kindergarten Registration

If you have a kindergartner or would be interested in our K5 Program at Edgewood Primary School, please register by clicking on the following link:

If you know a family with a kindergartner who lives in or outside our community, please pass on the link to RBBCSC’s Kindergarten Registration.

Student Belongings/Chromebooks

We have scheduled May 21st and 22nd as days for students to pick up their belongings from school.  Principals will send school-specific pick-up plans to their students/parents.

These dates and plans are subject to change based on guidance from the Monroe County Health Department.

Students in Grades 6-11 will keep their Chromebooks home for the summer.

EHS will be sending plans to Seniors for the return of their Chromebooks.

Transition to Summer Feeding Program

The last day for the Healthy Meals Plan is May 18th.  Starting on June 1st, RBBCSC will transition to our Summer Feeding Program.

With the Summer Feeding Program, RBBCSC’s Food Truck will be delivering hot lunches to five designated neighborhoods on a daily basis.  Please see our website for more information.

If Monroe County’s Stay at Home Order is extended beyond May 15th, our Healthy Meals Plan will also continue as a service to our community.

US Census

Please remember to complete the 2020 Census.

Future funding for our school corporation and community depends heavily on data gathered from the 2020 Census.  For RBBCSC, this means that our budget for important programs such as special education, Title I, and Head Start will be impacted for several years.   Every child should be counted!

The U.S. Census Bureau will accept responses online, by phone or mail.  Here is an online link:
