There will be a dental clinic at Edgewood Junior High School on October 31. Permission slips were given to students during homeroom. An email for online registration was also sent to parents on September 11. Registration forms need to be submitted online or to the health office by October 14.  A minimum of 25 students is required for us to hold this clinic. 

Indiana University School of Education is hosting a six-week inquiry-based science experience for kids grades K-8. Session 2 begins October 26th. Click on this LINK for more information.

Cross country team members will celebrate their season this Thursday from 6 to 7:30 P in the EJHS cafeteria.  Check out the Remind messages for more information, and please let Coach Gallagher know if you are not going to be able to make it.    

Sixth-grade girls' basketball tryouts will be held today and tomorrow from 4:30-6 P in the gym. Interested 6th-grade girls need to have a physical on file in the office before tryouts. Please note the updated times!

Tryouts for 7th and 8th-grade boys basketball will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd and Wednesday, October 23rd. Seventh-grade tryouts are from 2:30-4 P and 8th-grade tryouts are from 6-7:30 P in the gym. Interested students must have a physical on file in the office before tryouts.

Wrestling pre-season will begin Monday, October 21st, from 2:30-4 P in the wrestling room. There will be workouts on Mondays and Wednesdays during the month of October. There will be weightlifting and open mats during each workout session.

EJHS Skate Night • 10/18, 6:30-8:30 PM • Western Skateland
Support EJHS and enjoy a fun skate night at Western Skateland! Cost is $5 ($1.50 goes back to the PTO) and includes skate rental. Tell them you're with EJHS at the door!

EJHS 2019 Thanksgiving Food Drive Benefitting Pantry 279 • 11/1 - 11/13
Local Pantry 279 is in need of donations to fill their Thanksgiving baskets for people in our community in need.  From November 1 - 13, each homeroom will be challenged to bring in cornbread mixes, and the homeroom that brings in the most will win a special treat! Our goal is to collect 1200 total mixes (brands are not important).

EJHS Gratitude Grams • 11/4 - 11/20
Spread some gratitude with a Gratitude (aka Candy) Gram!  Students (& families) can show appreciation for their friends, teachers, and staff members at EJHS by sending a "candy gram"  with a note attached expressing thanks to the recipient.  The form online will go live on November 4!

EJHS Dine and Donate at Azzip Pizza 11/19 • 10:30 am - 9:30 pm

Support EJHS and enjoy a great meal at Azzip! This dine-and-donate is valid all day and Azzip generously gives back 20% of sales (yes 20%!!) to the PTO. Be sure you have the flyer (we will post here below).

EJHS Glow Party • 11/22, 2:30-4:30 PM • EJHS Gymnasium
SAVE THE DATE-- it's back! We had so much fun last year we decided to do it again! Wear your favorite Edgewood gear and hang out with friends after school for a glow party! We will have a DJ in the gym and we will be selling pizza, candy and drinks in the cafeteria as well as fun glow accessories (glow sticks, LED Items, etc.).
All proceeds go directly back to support EJHS students and teachers. We are working out transportation now with the Boy's and Girl's Club for Club members to be picked up when the event is over. Online ticket sales will open up soon. This event is open for EJHS students only.
