Harmony 3 Family Access

Announcing the new Harmony 3 Family Access for Parents and Students!

We are switching our current Harmony Parent/Student portal to the New Harmony 3 Family Access and all parents should have received an email with the link to log in, as well as instructions for the setup. Everyone needs to register with the new credentials, as we will eventually be turning off the current version of the program.

One of the advantages of the new Harmony 3 Family Access is that it allows parents and students to have separate accounts with their own user names and passwords to access information as well as set notifications. Because the accounts are separate, students will not be able to make changes to any of the settings made by parents.

In the new program you will be able add all your students into one login and to see the following:

Progress Reports

Homework Agenda
Online Payments
Push Notification

The new site link is:

The link is also posted on the corporation as well as each building website.

We hope you enjoy the features of the new site.

EPS Authors' Fair

On Friday, May 8th, EPS will be hosting an all day event in which classes will visit different stations to engage in literacy in a fun way! This year all of the classes are reading The Elevator Family by Douglas Evans. The students have loved hearing about the many adventures of the Wilson family and their life living in an elevator of a hotel! Students will have the chance to make and write books, learn from a professional illustrator, see the safety equipment of a real Otis Elevator field specialist and participate in some impromptu drama. If you would like to volunteer for this event, please let the office know. You will also have 2 chances to see a performance of the story (May 7th at 7 PM and May 9th at 2 PM) here at EPS, and the tickets are $2 each. 21st Century Education and Technology Survey

Indiana schools have been asked to participate in a national technology survey. This survey will help us gather information on the use of technology in our schools. The data can be used by our corporation when making decisions regarding technology. It is important to participate in this survey because it will make our corporation a stronger candidate when applying for grant money in the future. We encourage community members, staff, parents and students to participate. The more participation the better! Please help us by taking just a few minutes of your time to complete the survey.

Flags at Half-Mast

Flags at half-mast 11-17-14

Some of you who bring your children to school no doubt noticed that our flags are at half-mast today. This is in accordance with an order from Governor Mike Pence in response to events over the weekend. The following is a portion of the press release issued by the Governor’s Office yesterday (11-16-14):

“”Abdul-Rahman Kassig was one of us and he was the best of us. He was a lifelong Hoosier who was admired by all as a loving son, a dedicated student, an Army Ranger, and a compassionate humanitarian who risked his life to render medical aid to refugees in Syria and Lebanon. Karen and I offer our deepest condolences and prayers for this courageous young man, his loving family and friends during this time of heartbreak and loss. Indiana will never forget the service, compassion and sacrifice of Abdul-Rahman (Peter) Kassig.’”

Governor Pence also declared an official period of mourning to begin on sunrise Monday and ordered that flags be lowered at state buildings all across Indiana to mark this tragic murder.
